And here's me and Drew after the afterparty at Cargo. Yeah, it had been raining all day and I was looking pretty rough. And yes, I am incredibly short. It was funny - when we were taking the pic I was like, I feel like Drew's head is completely on top of mine. And lo and behold, it was!

I wish I'd gotten a pic with Carl now! I just felt like I looked so hideous, and I kind of wasn't even thinking about it - I only got a pic with Drew because Alison asked if I wanted one. Ah, well, no one else has a super-special formal Carl autograph! And I did get two kisses and two hugs. And saw him tap dance. And heard him say the word "girlfriend" in the style of a stereotypically sassy African-American woman. So I think that was a good Carl experience.

It was when he and Jeni were arguing over the lyrics to "Skint and Minted," because he thought she had them wrong at first, and he was singing them, and then finally decided she was right and tried to play it off that he was "quizzing" her to see if she knew them, and then he started singing it again and began tap-dancing. And then Jeni asked if he could do it again so she could film it for posterity, and he was like, "Um, no."

The girlfriend thing happened when Jeni was telling him that you had gotten him to write the lyrics on Thursday night, and he said that he was ill Thursday, and we all kind of ignored that and continued telling him that the lyrics he'd written were unintelligible, and then he complained that we weren't giving him any sympathy for being ill, at which point we assured him that we did feel sympathy for him, and he said, "Well, I'm not hearing it, girlfriend!" There might have been a Libs gang sign but I don't know because I was too busy trying to keep myself from falling on the floor with laughter. He was very smiley and twinkly-eyed the whole time - thinking about it later he was so like the way I like to imagine boyband!Carl with his fans, just being very charming and enjoying all the attention and thinking he's incredibly witty and amusing.

why were they chatting bout skint and minted? but actually, he always get's *something* about that song wrong. we were chatting bout 'if you love a woman' and he said the reason he wrote it was mainly because he really wanted to use "mustn't" in a song, "like that libertines song we used it in.. erm.. lust of the libertine" and me and my friend were like "it's not. it's skint and minted!" and he was all "erm.. is it?" lol

he really was lovely that night, wasnt he? I'm so glad he came down for the aftershow party and all cause it was such a good night and so many good people there and you know, fans but people who wouldn't jump him or go "man, you're such a legend! I love the libertines!" and all that shit.. it really was a lovely night.

He was just so lovely and in such a good mood. It makes me happy to see Carl happy. This is going to sound like the LAMEST THING EVER but one time I saw a shooting star and you know how you're supposed to wish on them? Well, I wished that Peter would get clean and that Carl would be happy. OMG I'M SUCH A FANGIRL. Anyway, yeah...lovely.

I'm glad you understand. I'm sure most people would be like, why are you making a wish for someone you don't even know?, but I feel like they've given me so much through their music and words that I feel like wishing good things for them is a way of giving back.

This is pretty much my favorite Carl moment ever. I think I was clinging to his coat during the entire conversation.

He thought I had the lyrics wrong and then said he was checking to see if I really knew them, and I was like "Don't test me! I've been up since Thursday morning." Boy didn't even know them himself. :D

Shit sorry, I feel a little bad now. You could have said no if you didn't want one, I know it's not everybody's thing - definitely not mine. He always does the head thing. Be grateful though, I have one of me with him and Albert and despite being above average height for a woman I look like a dwarf because neither of them are doing the head thing. I think Michelle can vouch for this as I think she saw it in the two hours or so it was on his myspace before I managed to get hold of him to demand he take the freaking thing down!

Oh, no no no! Don't feel bad! I didn't mean to imply that you pushed it on me. I just meant that I really wasn't thinking about taking a picture with anyone because I knew it had rained on me all day and I was kind of bedraggled, but when you asked I thought, well, I might as well, and then when it didn't turn out quite as bad as I thought it made me regret not getting one with Carl as well. Although I do have a pic with Carl from two years ago, so it's not as if I don't have one at all.

So, actually, I'm grateful that you asked!
