Via cut_paste_twist, it's me with my incredibly formal autograph from Carl on Thursday night!



I love how he signs it "yours truly." I think all his autographs should come in this form from now on:

He is so charming! I'll post about it later, but basically what happened is that I gave him this book about WWI that I'd bought in Toronto, and he seemed very touched by that and thanked me and gave me a kiss, and then I asked him for the autograph and he asked for my name and then stopped in the middle to make sure he was spelling it correctly, and then he gave me a hug and kissed me again. Hence the "Carl glow" on my face when this picture was taken immediately afterwards.

I'm surprised you didn't explode - are we going to get a blow-by-blow? Er, I mean a written transcription of all events in minute detail?
